Life As We Know it: Review

Life As We Know it starring Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel, Josh Lucas, Christina Hendricks and precious babies Alexis Clagett and her sister Brynn Clasgett. Directed by Greg Berlanti.

Edit: I got to go to my first movie screening! Well not my first, but the first in LA. Ok enough. Onwards

Admittedly I was hesitant to see this movie because of Katherine Heigl and her rude ass, and it's about babies gah! But it did look cute so when the opportunity presented itself. I went!

A happy couple decide to set each of their best friends up for a date in 2007. The first date is an epic fail and hilarity ensues as they realize they pretty much dont get along. Fast forward to present day and the happy couple has their first child together and appropriately name their best friends the God Parents. A year later they die in a fatal car crash. Baby Sophie is taken to Child Protective Services and both Holly and Eric (Katherine and Josh) have an important decision to make. Ignore the final requests of their former best friends and continue to live their lives as is, or dramatically change their plans to accommodate their orphan God child. Ok so they obviously decide to TRY things with raising Sophie, but it's still worth your viewing time, I think...

Now ordinarily I would give this movie the side eye. So two hot ppl (i'm being nice Katherine) are forced to live in the house of their dead best friend *blinks three times*, raise the baby together even though they aren't a "couple" *pouts lips and thinks "mmmhmm sure"* and none of the other family members can help them figure this mess out?? Ok, I give them that last one because people do suck sometimes.

If you can get over that bit of a stretch then I think your easy going enough to enjoy the rest of the film. I found myself laughing at a few cute parts here and there. If your a sucker for country accents then you'll love the hunky role of hot piece Josh Lucas of Sweet Home Alabama fame. I was grateful for that, and it made the movie that much more enjoyable.

I won't go on a I hate Katherine Heigl rant today because I do continue to see her movies, she's just much more natural in romantic comedies then Jennifer Needsaman Aniston.

Ok guys, you've all been waiting for my final grade. Drum roll please *crickets* That works too. 7/10

Be excellent.
